Asociacion para el Desarrollo de la Familia Guatemalteca (PROMAB)
Project: Provide mental health services in marginated areas around Guatemala City through clinical attention for adults, adolescents and children.
Organization Mission: The purpose of the association is to study, analyze, propose and implement programs and projects aimed at solving human problems with respect to the person and the family. The association promotes academic development, family counseling, and psychological support that allows the integral development of the person and the family.

Organization Mission: Brigid’s Path provides medical care for drug-exposed newborns, non-judgmental support for mothers, and education services to improve family outcomes.

Brothers of St. Charles Lwanga Foundation
Project: Facilitation of Purchase of Training Equipment for Teenage Mothers at St. Charles Lwanga for Improved Livelyhood
Organization Mission: To rehabilitate and develop children in special circumstances from streets or out of school due to socioeconomic and psychological factors through non formal and formal vocational training and community interventions based on christian values of charity and love.

Brunner Literacy Center
Project: Tutoring for Low-Literate Adults
Organization Mission: The Brunner Literacy Center (BLC) is a welcoming place for adults to reach their educational dreams. The BLC provides tutoring and educational support to Dayton adults who need to improve their basic skills in reading, writing, math and conversational English. Improving literacy is a necessary first step on the path to a better life. The BLC provides each student with a personal tutor dedicated to helping them reach their individual goals, textbooks and a safe space to learn. Typical student goals include earning the GED or a professional license, becoming a U.S. Citizen, or obtaining stable employment that pays a living wage.

Project: Train-the-Trainer Convening: Bereavement Ministry for Crime Victims/Survivors
Organization Mission: The mission of the California Catholic Conference (CCC) is to advocate with the legislative, administrative and judicial branches of state government for the Catholic Church’s public policy agenda and to facilitate common pastoral efforts.

Capacitar International, Inc.
Project: Trauma Healing and Transformation Training Project
Organization Mission: Capacitar’s mission is to heal ourselves and heal our world. We teach simple wellness practices that enable people tap into the wisdom of their own body, mind and spirit, empowering them to heal themselves from stress and trauma. They can then work to heal their families and communities, promoting reconciliation and peace. Capacitar is especially committed to countries and communities affected by violence, natural disasters and poverty.

Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo, Inc.
Project: Equipment for Helping Hands of St. Louis Outreach Center
Organization Mission: Catholic Charities makes real the love that God has for each individual regardless of faith or background by serving the poor, advocating for the neglected and forgotten, respecting and promoting life from beginning to end, and nurturing and supporting individuals and families.

Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio
Project: Immigration Legal Services
Organization Mission: Enlighten the community to see God’s love for the poor. Catholic Charities is not limited to the staff performing human services. Our larger purpose is to provide for the faithful of the Archdiocese and the community to serve the poor. Our first action is outreach to volunteers and parishes to actively participate in our programs and to both understand and live Catholic Social Doctrine. Serve the community to in turn serve the vulnerable. We serve and we invite the community to serve the poor, just as Jesus invited us to do as He washed the feet of the apostles. Empower the community so all God’s Children rise from spiritual and material poverty.

Project: Restorative Justice Initiative: Prisons, Poverty, and Participation
Organization Mission: Catholic Mobilizing Network is a national organization working in close collaboration with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and living the mission of the Congregation of St. Joseph. Through education, advocacy, and prayer, Catholic Mobilizing Network (CMN) proclaims the Church’s pro-life teaching and prepares Catholics for informed involvement in the public debate to end the death penalty and promote restorative justice.

Central American Martyrs Center/Su Casa Catholic Worker
Project: Chicago Migrant Solidarity and Accompaniment Project
Organization Mission: The Central American Martyrs Center/Su Casa’s mission is to care for each other by creating a community of hospitality and healing for families in crisis in the Catholic Worker tradition. As we work to fulfill this mission, we are guided by and practice these core values: Hospitality: Our bilingual home welcomes families experiencing homelessness; Community: We work and live together in a spiritual intentional community. Project: Diversification of income through livestock production and improved agriculture at John Paul II Minor Seminary of Gikongoro diocese
Organization Mission: Propagate the Good News of Jesus Christ to Christians and non-Christians in the diocese, especially financing the projects that promote the integral human development through counseling, charitable and missionary works, education support seminarians and priests, provide loans and medicine, food resources to needy communities, build facilities for pilgrimage at Kibeho and advocacy.

Dream Builders Group, Inc.
Project: Piqua Clubhouse: new site extension
Organization Mission: Clubhouse offers unique services through teens to at-risk 2-6 graders in the Miami Valley Area since 1988. Giving teens leadership to run free, after-school + summer program for families who cannot afford childcare. Our focus is developing teens to impact their communities in mentoring children.

Organization Mission: The mission of Living Waters International is to assist in the procurement of funds for Roman Catholic missionary congregations and dioceses to advance their missionary work in Africa. The organization for whom this application is requested is Tanga Don Bosco Technical Secondary School of the Catholic Diocese of Tanga. Its mission is to offer vocational education integrated with Gospel values to support those in most need.

The Dayton District Council of St. Vincent de Paul, growing in spirituality and friendship, provides Christ-inspired person-to-person support in an empowering effort to improve the lives of those in personal, spiritual or material need.

Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation
Project: Developing Entrepreneurial Skills
Organization Mission: Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation was inspired by the Spirituality of the Precious Blood “those who were once far off be brought near through the Blood of Christ”. (Eph.2:13).We are a ministry of healing and reconciliation. Our purpose is to provide a safe place for our south side Chicago neighborhood youth (14-24) and their families. We provide for the basic needs of food, housing support, and education. We also offer various programs according to the the needs and readiness of our participants.

Organization Mission: Oasis House is a Christ-centered faith-based organization whose mission is to serve marginalized women in the Dayton, Ohio area who have been victims of sexual exploitation. Recognizing the dignity of all life and valuing the wholeness of person, our 501c(3) nonprofit seeks to respond to the unmet needs of these individuals by promoting healing, restoration, and empowerment through Christ’s unconditional love. By offering mentorship, shelter, and lessons in practical life skills, our goal is to help integrate these women back into the community after a journey of holistic healing in all phases of life.

Organization Mission: Ai Tam’s (Loving Heart) mission statement is as follows: We, Ai Tam Educational Organization , believe that education is the key to success. Catholic Outreach to Northern Ukraine
Project: CARITAS-SPES KHARKIV
Organization Mission: CONU (Catholic Outreach to Northern Ukraine) establishes spiritual and material partnerships between people in the USA and people in 2 dioceses of N Ukraine. There the Roman Catholic Church is still rebuilding after 70 years of suppression in the soviet era. During its 22 year history, CONU responded to many needs in Ukraine. CONU began as a sister parish project, grew into a national entity, & now is partnered with CARITAS-SPES, the Ukraine branch of Caritas International. This ensures that ministry receives ecclesial leadership, & needs can be discerned, prioritized, & supported in future years. Through prayer partnerships, pen pals, and mission trips, people to people relationships continue to be a prized CONU characteristic.

DECA, Inc.
Project: Rising Stars of Dayton (DECA PREP) and Brothers (DECA)
Organization Mission: From K-12, DECA PREP and DECA’s focus is to prepare first-generation college students for the academic, social, emotional, and financial challenges of college. DECA offers children residing within the boundaries of the Dayton Schools a tuition-free option for a quality education with strong academics and an emphasis on social justice as the approach to self-management and citizenship. Rising Stars (RS), piloted at DP for two years, is a mentoring program for African-American males in grades K-8; Brothers is the high school component (grades 9-12). Both emphasize the power of solid relationships between a consistent male mentor and a young student who lacks this in his own family. The pilot data were excellent.

Desarrollo Económico y Social de Los Mexicanos Indígenas, A.C. through Thousand Currents
Project: Autonomous indigenous communities in Chiapas, Mexico defending their territory, working towards food sovereignty and building Buen Vivir (wellbeing) with respect
Organization Mission: Social Economic Development of Indigenous Mexicans (DESMI per acronym in Spanish) A.C is a civil society organization which through its programs and accompaniment, seeks to strengthen the community processes of indigenous peoples in the High, Northern and Southern zones of Chiapas, Mexico, in defense and care of Mother Earth, and its territory. DESMI A.C. using a Solidarity Economy and women’s rights lens to incorporate agro-ecological, ethno-veterinary and solidarity market practices to contribute towards food sovereignty to build self-sufficiency and autonomous processes.

Dominion Intercessors Ministry
Project: DIM Refugee and Immigrant Support Program
Organization Mission: To support displaced refugees from the Great Lake regions of Africa by transitioning them from hopelessness to realizing their full potential. DIM offers an integrated model of support that includes the provision of basic needs, spiritual and family support, education and community integration.

El Puente Educational Center
Project: El Puente K-6 After-School Tutoring Program
Organization Mission: El Puente is Spanish for “the bridge”, which is a symbol for the mission to serve as a bridge and connection point to Latino students and families to academic success, well-being, and increased integration in the Dayton community. Since 2009, our after-school program has worked each year with over 100 students from local university and high schools. These students volunteer to tutor 40 Latino students in K-6th grade who are enrolled in Dayton Public Schools or are recent transfers to Catholic schools.

Organization Mission: Our mission is to provide Christ-centered support to men seeking to escape survival prostitution and embrace a life of health and wholeness.

Findlay Hope House for the Homeless, Inc.
Project: Hope House Operational Support
Organization Mission: Since its founding by Sister Karen Elliott, CPPS, in 1990, Hope House has operated with the mission to eliminate homelessness and alleviate poverty in Hancock County. Fulfilling this mission goes well beyond housing and budgeting to long-term opportunities for permanently exiting the cycles of poverty and homelessness. We treat all people with dignity and respect, which leads to hope. We know that permanent change is worth the time, mentoring and resources needed to create it.

Founded in 1983 by Sister Dorothy Kammerer, the House of Bread is one of the Dayton region’s oldest community kitchens. Sister Dorothy started the organization because she knew there were many people in her neighborhood who were going without hot meals.

Mary’s Pence
Project: ESPERA Community Lending (Economic Systems Providing Equitable Resources for All)
Organization Mission: Mary’s Pence invests in women across the Americas by funding community initiatives and fostering collaborations to create social change. We envision a world where empowered women and their communities flourish in solidarity and justice. We believe that all people deserve to live with dignity, free from violence and oppression.

Project: Construction of a primary school in Kinkole by Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood
Organization Mission: We the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood, are called to live the Paschal Mystery and to witness to the Redeeming love of Christ. According to the wish of our founder we focus on family apostolate and holistic education of youth and children.

Organization Mission: Mission Statement for the Dayton District Council of St. Vincent de Paul, growing in spirituality and friendship, Christ-inspired person to person support in an empowering effort to improve the lives of those in personal, spiritual, or material need.

Pax et Bonum Communications, Inc.
Project: Santa Chiara Children’s Center
Organization Mission: SCCC’s sacred mission is to provide complete systemic change for approximately 50 abandoned, displaced, abused and neglected children from the slums of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. They arrive hungry, malnourished, and bearing all kinds of physical, emotional, and psychological wounds that need to be lovingly embraced and healed. SCCC provides the children a nonviolent home; three nutritious meals daily; basic education in reading, writing, math and art; consistent medical care and loving relationships, compassion, and a sense of dignity and solidarity. Ultimately, with SCCC nurturing and enabling these children in their early years, they will be far better prepared to succeed as adults and as contributing citizens.

Power Inspires Progress, Inc.
Project: Solar Cooking Initiative for Job Training and Community Education
Organization Mission: Power Inspires Progress provides stabilization, training, and job placement to adults with chronic barriers to employment. Those we serve face myriad challenges, including unstable housing, food insecurity, court records, and lack of education – and as a result, they are told time and time again that they are not wanted, not needed, have made too many mistakes.

St. Bernardine Medical Center Foundation
Project: Community Health Education – Diabetes Prevention & Self-Management
Organization Mission: We are committed to furthering the healing ministry of Jesus. We dedicate our resources to: Delivering compassionate, high-quality, affordable health services; Serving and advocating for our sisters and brothers who are poor and disenfranchised; and Partnering with others in the community to improve the quality of life. At our Health Education Center (HEC), we provide health and wellness education to all in our community. Currently located on the Community Hospital of San Bernardino campus, we have a need to expand the offerings of the HEC to our other hospital campus in the Inland Empire market – St. Bernardine Medical Center.

St. Vincent De Paul St. Rita’s, St. Paul’s, and Precious Blood Conference
Project: St. Vincent De Paul — Serving Those in Need
Organization Mission: Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering. In the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul, Vincentians are united in a society of charity by their spirit of poverty, humility, and sharing, which is nourished by prayer and reflection, and mutually supportive gatherings. Vincentians witness God’s love by embracing all works of charity and justice. The Society collaborates with people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served because, in them, Vincentians see the face of Christ.

Organization Mission: YWCA Dayton’s mission is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. The YWCA Dayton has over 145 years of experience in social action, grounding in the empowerment model and legacy change agents of advocacy; this is demonstrated in housing, sheltering and programs which offer support, strengthening and safety, for women and girls. Founded in 1870, the YWCA Dayton has provided safety, shelter, counseling, hope and the opportunity for a new beginning to a constituency of generations of residents in Dayton and Montgomery County. The YWCA Dayton is one of 213 Associations nationally united in the powerful movement of eliminating racism and empowering women.
